The
prompt('xxxxxx(yyyy)zzzz')
will work fine.
What do you mean with:
>the function to parse get's it this way:
>prompt_link('xxxxxx(yyyy)zzzz')
is it a function name???
>can i escape the ( with \( or similar?
I think that you can't use any *special character*
inside the function brackets.
What are you trying to do?
Why don't you use a proper
var name instead?
