[Javascript] form submission

Hello People,

I have a 6 page registration form for customers to fill in. But I would like 
a hidden form field submitted if the customer leaves at any time before the 
end of the process, i.e closes the browser window or goes to another website 
address.

What javascript function should I use or look for when the customer does 
leave the process before the end. Is there an OnExit function or something I 
should use if they leave the site to go to another site or close the browser 
window altogether...??

Any help/advice would be appreciated.
