Absolutely, and in the interests of precision, it's probably good
to also add that sites *don't view cookies* -- your browser *sends*
any cookies in its cookie store that match the URL it's retrieving.

No "site" can read anything off your system unless you've installed
some un-sand-boxed software yourself that allows that site to bypass
normal browser security.

Barring browser or plugin bugs, of course :-)
