Try a different approach and only use one browser window; e.g. have the first page link to the page that you now have in the pop up and when that page is finished processing have it link to the first page with the "#..." anchor appended. The pop up doesn't just open and close, it is used for a period of time, then when someone gets to this page, it refreshes the original browser and closes itself. ------_=_NextPart_001_01C1B946.28B9A970 Content-Type: text/html; charset="iso-8859-1" <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD> <META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1"> <TITLE>RE: [Javascript] dynamic anchor tags, javascript, and JSP</TITLE> <META content="MSHTML 6.00.2713.1100" name=GENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY> <DIV><SPAN class=898225912-19022002><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2>Sorry, my Polish brain can't follow what you mean by 'the server can't control the other browser' AFAIK the client side process is what is opening and closing the "windows."</FONT></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=898225912-19022002><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2></FONT></SPAN> </DIV> <DIV><SPAN class=898225912-19022002><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2>Try a different approach and only use one browser window; e.g. have the first page link to the page that you now have in the pop up and when that page is finished processing have it link to the first page with the "#..." anchor appended.</FONT></SPAN></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2></FONT> </DIV> <P><B><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2>Bob Filipiak</FONT></B> <BR><B><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2>(Contractor)</FONT></B> <BR><BR></P> <BLOCKQUOTE dir=ltr style="MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px"> <DIV class=OutlookMessageHeader dir=ltr align=left><FONT face=Tahoma size=2>-----Original Message-----<BR><B>From:</B> Jay Wright [mailto:jwright@xxxxxxxx]<BR><B>Sent:</B> Friday, February 15, 2002 5:12 PM<BR><B>To:</B> 'javascript@xxxxxxxxxx'<BR><B>Subject:</B> RE: [Javascript] dynamic anchor tags, javascript, and JSP<BR><BR></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Arial color=#0000ff size=2><SPAN class=241560922-15022002>The server can't control the other browser.
