Can one set the File Permissions in Java

Thank you.
I am restricted to writing code that will compile with JRE 1.1.7. Didn't see
the setreadOnly() File message, because I was looking at the 1.1 Javadocs.
Maybe this will give me some fuel to get the company to move up a JRE.

Hi,

Look in java.io.File, where you will find method setReadOnly().

Cheers,

Marijn
