there is a Java virtual machine included in your browser (Netscape,
MSIE), when you have installed the browser with the corresponding option
or the page uses the Java plug-in, then this plug-in will be downloaded
and installed (if you say yes)

JRE is included in JDK

but the Java2 plug-in uses it's own JRE when you install it
