However, the appletviewer or browser is free to ignore showDocument().
Or, u can use javascript command
window.open("http://www.msn.com";, "Microsft", widgetPreferences)

Is there any possibility to open a new browser's window from an applet. For
example, calling javascript instructions inside the applet ? Are those
calls both compatible on netscape & IE ?
FYI, I'm working with jdk 1.2.2 & JPlugIn.
