Reflection Querry

I am using reflection to invoke a method of a class. When I run the applet(aqpplet is unsigned) in the browser I get security exception. The method invoked initialises the object.
The security manager throws security exception in checkMemeberAccess method.

If applet uses reflection to  invoke a method ,does applet needs to be signed?

Please help me in solving it.
