Downloading JDK difficulties

Someone sent me the following:

problem 1:
 I downloaded and installed Java JDK1.2.2. 
 However, I can't reboot the machine 
 afterwards. Window can't start
 stating system file can't be upgraded,
 press SETUP key to re-start windows.
 I can't find where is the SETUP key.
 And I did CTRL+ALT+DELETE, it come 
 back at the same stopping point.

 I did download and install for JDK1.1.8
 it worked a few weeks ago.

 Have you heard any system file upgrade
 problem before concerning JDK1.2.2 ?

problem 2:
  After downloading jdk1.2.2, they get a corrupted file
message.
