Arguments for using Java in the Enterprise

Hi Jeff - I would strat with the basics - OO vs Procedural.  There were *many*
papers, articles etc that supported the move in the early 90's.  Once it is
decided to go with OO (almost a certainty when management sees the savings in
maintenance alone!) Then the particular language should be decided - which comes
down to a selection between Java and C++ (unless you are going to be *very*
bleeding edge).  The momentum seems to be moving toward Java...

I know this isn't a list of specific books - but hopefuly gives some direction
...
