In JBuilder 2.01 you could use jdk1.2.x ..
but the debugger always said you need
to use the internal compiler which was something
for jdk 1.1.x .. so we had not real fun 
with the "jdk switching" .. I'm not sure
if they have still this close relationship
between the compiler and the debugger ..

We did not know this before we bought Jbuilder 2.01
We would not buy it at all again !

Try it .. and please tell us your experiences !

BTW .. I just heard that the very nice NetBeans IDE 3.0 Beta
runs incredible fast with the new jdk beta ..and
it is pure java .. means you can use it also unter Unix ..
